Since they are planned to be staffed 24 hours a day, residents can expect a friendly greeting whenever they return home. The cottages, which are designed to mark the entrances of most residential neighborhoods, are also likely to provide the perfect spot for news of lost pets, school events and neighborhood gatherings. Plans call for residents and guests to have unrestricted access to residential neighborhoods during daylight hours. At night, guests will be asked to check in with the attendants.
